and the winner is...

look #2: deep purple and chiffony. it's a little dreamy, flowy, and girly (totally taiwanese but i can't help it sometimes) but i figure sequins are too tricky to buy without having tried on first. this one is easier to dress down for a conference or an event at school too. (it's also half the price of the gray sequined dress).

so i guess it'll be #2 for the cocktail party. hopefully it's not too predictable. i have an image of pairing it with cute tights and boots (which means i have to shop for shoes) or these strappy sandals i bought in taiwan. it may be the last chance for summer wear...

i guess i'll keep waiting for time i can dress myself up in look #1. sorry girls, no look #3 for me. i liked the dress when i saw it but quickly realized that my legs, and the rest of my build for that matter, aren't long and skinny enough for that. i got a soccer player/gymnast build which means short and squat and there's nothing like glittery horizontal stripes to draw attention to those flaws.

but if you girls can pull that off i will be jealous in that awesome good way.

also, what's with all the animal farm references? it's probably the third or fourth time someone's referenced that book this summer and i haven't heard references to orwell in, like,
years. it could just be me though.
