ok so instead of unpacking or doing work, i spent the entire morning shopping online for a cute dress for the housewarming party and now i need your help.
look #1: black, sequined cocktail dress that is unsuitable for most occasions but hella edgy. mayhaps it's too fitted for online buying and would require a trying on?

look #2: purple, dream chiffony dress that i could probably dress down for school with a cardigan and tights. mayhaps it's too shapless? or too cute and predictable?

here's a possible look #3 but i think i may have to be 5 inches taller and 10 lbs lighter to pull this off. it might be too shapeless and i'm not thrilled that the back is gray and not sequined.

or should i just stop watching "the rachel zoe project" (which btw is why we decided to make our party cocktail attire...ugh. so impressionable) so that i can stop wanting a new wardrobe and all things sequined.
i know i shouldn't be spending money but the dresses are pretty affordable and i need something cute to wear (cute spaniards may be coming)! so help! please comment. party is 2 wks away!
oh yea, and i also bought a pair of yellow rainboots for when rainy season. http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=4016&vid=0&pid=691865&scid=691865002
this i need. feet and pantlegs must be dry to work.
whatchu think??

because it's a housewarming party, i go with #2. but i love #3. it just screams good times.
ReplyDeletelove the boots. wish socal weather would permit them. they remind me of cute rubber ducks.
Instead of reading the passage on Evita, I've decided to offer my opinion here instead.
ReplyDeleteDress#2 seems like a safe, but tasteful choice!
And I have to say I'm not a fan of the black mini dress. . .
Impress the tentative Spaniard guests!
Chao chao.
